5 pens which are a must have for drawing
5 pens which are a must have for drawing
Hey guys! So, a lot of you are confused when it comes to
buying stationery for something like a pen sketch.
I receive this question quite often or not on Instagram as
well as during my workshops.
Hence, I am jotting doing a few must haves (pens) in your art kit to clear all your doubts.
Miniso Marker
A thick marker for covering larger areas.Useful especially when you have to colour something entirely. However, you can choose other brands which suit you with a similar tip.
Luxor sign pen
It’s a regular sketch pen. It is smooth on paper, inexpensive and the results are great.
Sakura pigma micron 0.8
Like pen pencils, pens also have a nib size and 0.8 nib is great to give thick lines without making the drawing look mushy.
3 Sakura pigma micron /Brustro Fineliner 0.5
Like pen pencils, pens also have a nib size and 0.5 nib is
perfect as the lines drawn from them aren’t too thick or too thin. It is very good
for doodling and mandala art apart from sketching.
I have personally used the pens from the above-mentioned brands.
However, if you like a pen from another company with the
same nib size you can choose that also.
4. Staedtler 0.05 for the extremely minute
details
My entire wilderness series would be incomplete without this
pen.
It’s a great one for adding those extra fine details especially
when you have to create fur like details or work on extremely intricate details
like in mandala art
5.
